The Story Behind the Harvest.
Growing up surrounded by the vibrant green fields of Pangasinan, agriculture has always been more than just a career to me - it is a lifelong calling. There is a unique rhythm to life in the Ilocos Region, one dictated by the seasons, the sun, and the soil.
Among all crops, rice holds a special place in my heart. Rice farming isn’t just about scattering seeds; it is a delicate dance of timing, science, and patience. It begins with the quiet promise of a muddy nursery, moves to the labor-intensive choreography of transplanting, and culminates in a sea of golden, heavy grains ready for harvest. Every step of the way - from managing complex root systems to implementing sustainable water and crop protection methods - requires a deep understanding of agricultural extension and science.
As a licensed professional Agriculturist currently pursuing advanced graduate studies in Agricultural Extension, my mission is to bridge the gap between textbook science and actual field practice. I work to empower our local farmers with modern, climate-resilient techniques in rice cultivation and urban gardening, ensuring that our agricultural heritage thrives for generations to come.
